Ranked by what arrives

Quotes for the same token pair are ranked by net output, in the token’s smallest unit, after every venue fee and the platform fee. For an exact-output transfer, where you fix the amount received, they are ranked by the input needed instead. BRDG does not use a price feed to compare venues, so a stale or wrong price cannot change which route wins. Each quote includes the figures the ranking used: amountOutAtomic, minAmountOutAtomic, fees, feeBps and tierSavedBps.

Only signable routes can win

A quote is eligible when the venue serves the route and the token, BRDG’s information about the venue is up to date, and the amount is within the venue’s limits. It is executable when the venue can also produce a transaction or signature that a wallet on the source chain can sign. best is the highest-ranked quote that is both. A quote that has a price but cannot be signed stays in quotes with its real figures and executable: false, so you can see it, but it never becomes best.

Best price and fastest

Speed never breaks a tie on price. A venue that does not give an estimated time cannot be bestByTime, so null there means no venue stated a time, not that the transfer is instant. Both fields are null when no quote is executable. To build the fastest route instead of the cheapest, pass the bestByTime value as quoteId to POST /bridge/build.

Venue data stays current

BRDG refreshes each venue’s chains, tokens, routes and limits in the background, so quoting never waits on them. A venue whose data is out of date, or which is failing, is left out of quotes until it recovers, rather than being priced against limits that may have changed.

Large transfers

A venue that pays best on a small amount can pay worst on a large one. Above a certain size for each token, the quote also measures how each venue’s price changes with size. If splitting the transfer across several venues would beat the best single route, the response includes a splitPlan with the proposed allocation and its improvementBps. When no plan is offered, planReason says why. The ranked quotes, and what POST /bridge/build executes, stay the same either way.
